Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Ginger hotel in Chakan, Maharashtra. This new hotel will provide a premium experience to guests, reflecting the brand’s signature lean luxe philosophy.
Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Chakan’s position as a major industrial hub, along with its connectivity to Pune city, Nashik, and Mumbai, makes it integral to IHCL’s strategy of expanding into key industrial and manufacturing hubs across the country. We are delighted to partner with The Bhansali Landmark Group and The Hermes Group for this project.”
The 210 – key Ginger Chakan, is part of a mixed-use development, offering a range of modern amenities. The hotel houses Ginger’s signature all-day-dining restaurant Qmin and a bar, serving global cuisine and local specialties. The hotel will also feature a well-equipped gym and meeting spaces.

Located on the northern edge of the Pune Metropolitan Region, Chakan is home to numerous multinational companies and is a key player in Maharashtra’s industrial landscape, particularly in the automobile and engineering sectors.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 38 hotels in Maharashtra including 14 under development.
