Veteran writer of Rajasthani and hindi literature , Jagdish Dan Ratnoo has received the prestigious Rachnakar Award on Sunday for his immense contribution in the field of Rajasthani literature..
‘Rachnakar’, an international organization engaged in the promotion of literature and culture, awarded and honored the scholars of different regional languages in the auditorium of the Indian Language Council, Kolkata.
Mr. Jagdish Dan Ratnoo of Dasaudi was honored with Karmayogi litterateur Nanigopal Chakraborty Award for his various works in in Rajasthani language.
Mr, Jagdish Dan Ratnoo has so far published four books and two more books are on the anvil and will be published shortly.
His most famous work is the hindi translation of the book Charan Samaj ki Gaurav, which is the first such effort in printing protraying the Charan Samaj era. It has become an important tool for reserachers in Rajasthani literature.
Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Assistant Director of Information, Culture and Public Relations of of Rajasthan Government in Kolkata said that the great scholars of the respective languages were honored by presenting Rs 10,000 in cash, citation, corsets and shawls.
Every year,scholarly writers were honored by the country’s well-known panelists of litterateurs, educationists and journalists including Rachanakar’s founder Mr. Suresh Choudhary.
