With the aim of promoting Rajasthan tourism, today, deputy chief minister and tourism minister of Rajasthan,Mrs. Diya Kumari attended the ‘review meeting’ of the action plans of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, organized at the Tourism Bhawan, and gave proper guidelines to the concerned officers for completing the strong departmental action plans and budget announcements on the targeted time in a qualitative manner.
Principal Secretary of Tourism, Art and Culture and Archaeology Department, Mrs. Gayatri Rathore, Managing Director of RTDC, Mrs. Anupama Jorwal and concerned departmental officers were present in the review meeting.
About 18 crores domestic tourists and 17 lakhs foreign tourists have visited Rajasthan last year. In the past four years there has been a twelve times increase in numbers of domestic tourists arrival footfalls in Rajasthan.
The prime focus of the present Rajasthan government is to upgrade the infrastructure of the state to further boost tourism.
Focus has also been given to border tourism and spiritual tourism in the state of Rajasthan. Both the central government and the state government are working together for the further development of tourism in Rajasthan.
