KOLKATA, 12 JANUARY 2025:
In the small auditorium of the Bharatiya Bhasha Parishad of Kolkata, a Rajasthani folk songs program was organized by Bharat Jain Maha Mandal Ladies Wing.
On 11 January 2025 on the Shasya Shyamala Bangam Bhumi, the sweet song Ganga of Rajasthani folk songs organized by Bharat Jain Mahila Mandal flowed, it seemed as if Rajasthan had descended on the land of Bengal.
Among the special guests of the program were the dignified presence of Rajasthan Information Center Director Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Taja TV Director Mr. Vishwambhar Newar, literature lover Durga Vyas, Hindi professor Dr. Vasundhara Mishra.
Taja TV Director Senior Editor Vishwambhar Newar and Rajasthan Information Center Director gave their speeches and expressed pride in Rajasthani folk songs and its rich tradition. Dr. Vasundhara Mishra described the relations of Rajasthan as sweet by singing the song Bai Sa Ra Bira.
Educationist Durga Vyas praised this program organized by the organization by saying that it lit the lamp of love for Rajasthani language. Rajasthani singers Mridula Kothari, Indu Chandak, Sanju Kothari, Shashi Kankani and guest female artists added charm to the program with their traditional folk songs of Hichki, Bangdi, love, separation and Shringar and made it a great event.
Bharat Jain Mahila Mandal sisters Sumitra Sethia, Manju Chhajend, Chanda Prahladka, Supyar Pugalia, Meena Soni… presented beautiful Rajasthani songs. They made an extraordinary effort to keep the extinct Rajasthani language and culture alive.
The program was inaugurated by President Chanda Golchha, Saroj Bhansali, Kalpana Bafna and Anju Baid singer Navkar Mantra. Jain Maha Mandal Ladies Wing Kolkata members Sumitra Sethia, Supyar Pugalia, Meena Soni and Manju Chhajend sang Rajasthani songs.
Anju Sethia conducted the program in Rajasthani language.
The program concluded with high tea comprising Rajasthani saffron tea and snacks.. On this occasion, famous scholar Dr. Rajyashri Shukla, Sahitya Akademi member Ravel Pushp, Bengali writer Baby Karanma were present.
