RECIPE OF THE WEEK : ILISH PATURI

Ingredients

Hilsa Fish                 300gms (2pcs)

Turmeric powder    5gms

Black Mustard          15 gms

Yellow mustard        30 gms

Grated coconut          20 gms

Salt                                to taste

Mustard Oil                  50 ml

Banana leaf                  1 no

Green Chilli                   5 gms

Lemon grass                  10 Gms

 

METHOD:

  • Soak yellow and black mustard seeds together and make a paste with coconut.
  • Put salt, turmeric and mustard oil on this paste.
  • Marinate fish with this paste, taste the seasoning and keep aside for 30 mins.
  • Wrap the marinated fish with banana leaf, steam it in double boiler for 10 mins.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice
