Ingredients
Hilsa fish 300 Gms
Turmeric powder 4 Gms
Cumin powder 7 Gms
Coriander powder 15 Gms
Chili powder 10 Gms
Green chili 5 gms
Pumpkin 50 Gms
Brinjal 40 gms
Salt to taste
Mustard oil 50 ml
METHOD:
- Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric.
- Cut pumpkin and brinjal in baton shape and fry it in mustard oil.
- In the same oil shallow fry the Ilish
- Heat oil in mustard in thick bottom pan, add black onion seeds and slit green chili
- Add all the masalas and water, cook till the oil floats
- Add fried pumpkin, brinjal and fish, cook it for 5 minutes
- Check the seasoning and serve with steamed rice
