BOTH THE INAUGURAL FLIGHTS OF ETIHAD AIRWAYS KOLKATA TO ABU DHABI WAS FULLY PACKED TODAY, UNITED TRAVEL FRATERNITY KOLKATA WAS PRESENT TO WELCOME

KOLKATA, 26 MARCH 2023:

Both the inaugural flights of Etihad Airways from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi to Kolkata has been fully packed today.

The flight has eight seats in business class and 150 seats in Economy class.

The flight departed at  Abu Dhabi at 9.10 PM local time, and landed  in Kolkata at 3.30 AM. It  took off from Kolkata at 4.35 AM, and reached  the Abu Dhabi  at 8.15 am local time.

Talking to the www.travelandtourismtimes.com, Mr. Anil Punjabi, Chairman ( east) of Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has said that the combination of Etihad Airways and Air Arabia will be very nice as both airlines have very high reputation and the hype is so much that we have received enquiry till the pujas.

“ But the biggest factor is the immigration for USA and Abu Dhabi. The passengers can get  their passports stamped at Abu Dhabi. Etihad Airways will carry the additional passengers to Abu Dhabi through Air Arabia and then to Europe, Cananada and USA through their own flights. Which is a very big news for us. The airfares will be competitive and both are agent and passenger friendly airlines,” added Mr. Anil Punjabi.

Mr. Amin Ashgar, President of Skal International Kolkata said that Etihad back after a three year sabbatical is a great news for Kolkata.  It will help ease out sky rocketing fares going westward from Kolkata. A world class product like Etihad with onward connections to almost 71 destinations will be a boon for travel emanating out of eastern india.

The United Travel fraternity Kolkata- TAFI, SKAL & TAAI represented by Mr Anil Punjabi ( TAFI – Chairman Eastern Region),  Mr Amin Asghar (President- The Skal International Kolkata) and Mr Manav Soni ( TAAI – Chairman Eastern Region) jointly were present at the Airport on behalf of their respective members, to welcome Etihad Airways re starting their flights into Kolkata.

Mr. Manav Soni, Chairman ( east) of Travel Agents Assopciation of India (TAAI) said that once again the motive is evident, the  United  Travel fraternity in Kolkata is looking at the  way forward and  have a sole motive of making sure Kolkata becomes the Gateway  of the East.

 

“With mostly all leading airlines finding confidence again in the Eastern markets potential, sky is the limits and the Travel fraternity is Unitedly working towards bringing back the direct connectivity to Europe also. The incoming and outgoing flight has almost full book load,” Mr. manav Soni added.

 

In the  presence of Airport Director Mr C Pattabhi and the Regional Executive Director Mr Manoj Gagal, Mr Rahul Wadhwa – Chairman of AOC, Etihad Country head Mr Salil Nath and his Team, the United travel fraternity celebrated the re launch.
