WHAT IS ART?

When I was in school, I had two buddies who were great painters in the making. I used to paint also.Three of us used to participate in on- the-spot and international painting competitions.
We were favourites of our Art teacher.
While the Art Sir would guide us about how to paint a landscape, still life or a portrait, he would throw one or two awkward questions – like who is your hero or what is art?
This question What is Art has haunted me all the while, and I have never been able to understand or have a conceptual grip.

It has been a concept which continues to be abstract, fluid and ever changing.
