Coimbatore-based Vaanavil Swarangal, a burgeoning music group, recently brought smiles and joy to the destitute inmates of Eera Nenjam in Coimbatore by staging a musical programme for the residents on the occasion of Navaratri. Eera Nenjam is a destitute home in Coimbatore, serving the impoverished through selfless and sedulous work. Vaanavil Swarangal, meaning “Notes of the Rainbow”, decided to do its bit for Eera Nenjam by staging a musical evening for the not-so-fortunate inmates with a 3 hour extravaganza, comprising hit songs from both Tamil and Hindi movies of yore and now.
Vaanavil Swarangal, started in 2022, is just finding its feet in the light music circles of Coimbatore. A small band of music lovers whose passion for music transcends age, the group is self-funded and believes that the language of music transcends all barriers.
