Today, on the occasion of the departure of the Bharat Gaurav Train to Ayodhya Dham, there was great enthusiasm among the passengers of Bilaspur Division.
Bilaspur Railway Station echoed with chants in praise of Lord Shri Ram by the pilgrims. Families and friends of the pilgrims witnessed this auspicious occasion and extended their best wishes for a pleasant journey. Before the train’s departure, the pilgrims were welcomed with the traditional folk dances and folk instruments of Chhattisgarh. Representatives of IRCTC greeted all the pilgrims by applying a ceremonial tilak.
At Bilaspur Railway Station, to bid farewell and send off the pilgrims to Ayodhya Dham, District Panchayat President of Bilaspur , Mr. Rajesh Suryavanshi, District Panchayat President of Mungeli, Mr. Shrikant Pandey, former Mayor of Bilaspur Smt. Vani Rao, Municipal Corporation Chairman , Mr. Vinod Soni, Hon’ble District Panchayat CEO of Bilaspur , Mr. Sandeep Agrawal, along with other public representatives, flagged off the train. During the departure, officials and staff of the District Administration, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Railways, and IRCTC were present.
It is noteworthy that as per the announcement made by the State Government to provide an opportunity for the people of the state to have the darshan of Lord Shri Ram Lalla (Ayodhya Dham) at least once in their lifetime, an MoU was signed on 23/02/2024 between the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Under this scheme, so far, around 28,900 devotees from Chhattisgarh have been provided free darshan.
Under the Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, this special weekly Bharat Gaurav Train for Ayodhya Dham will continue to operate for passengers from Raipur, Bilaspur, Surguja, and Bastar-Durg (Joint) divisions to facilitate darshan of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya Dham.
