(Deputy Chief Minister directs submission of final DPR for Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit and Pushkar-Ajmer Brahma Temple Corridor & Sarovar Parikrama Path)

Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari has instructed that the development of the Brahma Temple Corridor and the Sarovar Parikrama Path in Pushkar-Ajmer should be carried out in such a way that visitors feel delighted and experience peace. She also directed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit and the Pushkar-Ajmer Brahma Temple Corridor & Sarovar Parikrama Path be presented in its final form.

These instructions were given during a meeting held at the Secretariat on Monday in the presence of Rajasthan Heritage Authority Chairman Omkar Singh Lakhawat, Principal Secretary (Tourism) Rajesh Yadav, Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riar, Ajmer Development Authority Executive Engineer Arun Verma, Pushkar Municipal Council Commissioner, and Additional Director of Tourism Anand Tripathi. The meeting included the presentation of the DPR prepared by the Ajmer Development Authority under the state’s 2024-25 budget.

The Deputy CM emphasized that there will be no shortage of funds for the development of the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit and the Pushkar-Ajmer Brahma Temple Corridor & Sarovar Parikrama Path.

Earlier, during the DPR presentation, detailed information was shared about the proposed development of the Brahma Temple Corridor and Sarovar Parikrama Path based on the 2011 Master Plan for 2031 and land demarcation.

The presentation also discussed in detail the major attractions of Pushkar and their proposed enhancements. Key points included: improving access routes to the ghats through the Parikrama path, upgrading Pushkar’s roads, creating modern amenities, developing proper footpaths and shaded areas, enhancing the ghats while showcasing the significance of each one, establishing parking facilities before the entry gate, introducing tram-like public transport for mobility, developing a bus junction, as well as creating a cowshed and a heritage museum.

Deputy CM Diya Kumari Directs Acceleration of Development Projects and Schemes Related to Tourism, Art, Literature, and Culture Departments:

A review meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari, in the presence of Principal Secretary (Tourism) Rajesh Yadav, Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riar, and officials from the Tourism Department as well as the Art, Literature, and Culture Department. The meeting reviewed various development works, schemes, and key issues related to these departments.

During the meeting, the Deputy CM discussed several development projects such as the Tourism App, Tourist Centres, Stepwell (Baori) restoration, War Museum, Govind Dev Ji Temple development, Shekhawati Havelis, Ropeway projects, Ho-Ho (Hop-on Hop-off) services, Skydiving facilities, Khatu Shyam Ji development, Concert Area in Jaipur, Malaseri, Tribal Circuit, Amer development, Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK), and Shilpgram. She issued necessary directions for their progress. Similarly, discussions were also held on the Adventure Tourism Policy and Film Policy, with instructions given for further action.

Diya Kumari directed that the pace of development works and schemes linked to the Tourism and Art, Literature & Culture departments be accelerated and that targets be achieved within fixed timelines.
