Chief Secretary, Mr. Anurag Jain formally inaugurated the Business-to-Business (B2B) Event and Exhibition organized as part of the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart at the MVM Ground today.
The event aims to strengthen business relationships and promote tourism development across the state. Shri Jain also inaugurated the “Village Vibes” exhibition — a vibrant showcase of Madhya Pradesh’s rural tourism initiatives — and visited the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Pavilion.
Eminent actor , Mr. Raghubir Yadav and Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Mr.Sheo Shekhar Shukla were present on the occasion.

Mr. Jain lauded the effort to bring the local rural environment of the state to life through the “Village Vibes” exhibition. He interacted with young women trained under the Safe Tourism for Women initiative and visited thematic installations such as “Maa Ki Rasoi” (traditional rural kitchen), block printing units, souvenir shops, Chanderi saree weaving, and live Gond painting demonstrations.
He was warmly welcomed with the traditional beats of the dhol and flute.
During the B2B event, Shri Jain met with homestay operators from rural Madhya Pradesh, who were specially represented at the venue.
He appreciated their interactions with international tour and travel operators and their efforts to build new business linkages.
He also met operators from Vanraj Homestay, Palash Villa Pench, Jyamshi Homestay, Vedika Hill Homestay, and Grand Narmada Homestay, encouraging them for their entrepreneurship and inspecting their souvenir products with appreciation.
The Chief Secretary also interacted with foreign and Indian tour operators, hotel representatives, and investors, briefing them about the ongoing initiatives to strengthen tourism in Madhya Pradesh.
He thanked them for their participation in the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart and invited them to explore further investment and collaboration opportunities in the state.
Mr. Jain visited the exhibition stalls, engaging with participants and sharing insights about the state’s new tourism policy, investment prospects, and upcoming plans.
The event was also attended by Dr. Ilayaraja T., Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation, Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, MP Tourism Board, officials from the tourism department, and a large number of domestic and international tour operators and hoteliers.
The B2B event at the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart serves as a vital business platform connecting Madhya Pradesh’s tour operators and hoteliers (sellers) directly with national and international travel agents (buyers).
Through pre-scheduled meetings, the event facilitates business agreements and partnerships that promote the state’s diverse tourism offerings — from wildlife and heritage to new destinations — enabling buyers to create attractive tour packages. Ultimately, the goal is to increase tourist inflow and boost the local economy of Madhya Pradesh.
