The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, will organise the Raponkarcho Sea Food Festival 2025 from December 28 to 30, 2025 at the Main Parking Area, Arambol, celebrating Goa’s rich seafood heritage, traditional cuisine and vibrant cultural expressions.

The three-day festival will feature traditional Goan seafood cuisine stalls, cultural programmes and live musical performances, offering visitors an immersive festive experience rooted in local flavours and community participation. Entry to the festival will be free for all, and programmes will commence daily from 6.00 pm onwards.

The inaugural function will be held on December 28, 2025 at 5.30 pm, in the esteemed presence of  Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant along with  Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan Ashok Khaunte;  MLA, Saligao Constituency and Chairman, GTDC, Shri Kedar Naik;  MLA, Mandrem Constituency and Chairman, Goa Housing Board, Shri Jit V. Arolkar; Chief Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS; Secretary (Tourism) Shri Sanjeev Ahuja, IAS; Director, Department of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik and Managing Director, GTDC, Shri Kuldeep Arolkar.

Speaking ahead of the festival,  Rohan Ashok Khaunte,  Minister for Tourism, stated that fishing has been an integral part of Goa’s traditional way of life for generations and continues to shape the State’s food culture and coastal communities. He said that the Raponkarcho Sea Food Festival provides an important platform to recognise this living tradition, celebrate the skills of the fishing community, and showcase authentic Goan seafood cuisine in a festive and community-oriented setting. He further added that such initiatives strengthen cultural tourism by connecting visitors with the traditions, livelihoods and culinary practices that define Goa beyond conventional travel experiences.

Director of Tourism, Shri Kedar Naik said that the festival has been curated to bring together traditional cuisine, music and community engagement in a festive setting. He noted that Arambol provides an ideal venue for hosting such initiatives, which reflect the Department’s focus on encouraging community-led tourism experiences and showcasing Goa’s cultural diversity.

The opening day of the festival on December 28, 2025 will feature a stellar musical line-up led by Lorna, one of Goa’s most iconic voices. The evening will also include live performances by popular bands and artists such as Purple Rain, Black Slade, and Afroz Sayyed, setting the tone for a vibrant start to the three-day celebration.

On December 29, 2025, the festival will continue with energetic performances by Gravity, Brainwash, 24K India, and Teri Miko, presenting a diverse mix of contemporary music and live entertainment for festival-goers.

The concluding day, December 30, 2025, will witness performances by Forefront, The Imperial, Usman, and Sartek, bringing the Raponkarcho Sea Food Festival 2025 to a lively and celebratory close.

Through events such as the Raponkarcho Sea Food Festival, the Department of Tourism continues to promote Goa’s traditional cuisine, cultural expressions and community participation, while enhancing the festive tourism experience during the year-end season.
