In a major push towards digital empowerment and passenger convenience, Indian Railways has rolled out a special incentive for commuters booking unreserved tickets through its unified mobile platform — the RailOne App. The initiative reinforces the Railways’ commitment to cashless transactions while making daily travel more rewarding for millions of passengers.

Under the new provision, passengers booking unreserved tickets on the RailOne App using digital payment modes such as UPI, debit card, credit card and net banking will receive a 3% discount on the ticket fare. This benefit will be applicable on all digital payment modes except R-Wallet.

At the same time, the existing incentive for R-Wallet users will continue uninterrupted. Passengers booking unreserved tickets through R-Wallet on the RailOne App will continue to receive a 3% cashback, ensuring that all categories of digital users are equally encouraged.

The scheme will be implemented for a defined pilot period from 14 January 2026 to 14 July 2026, during which passenger response and system performance will be closely monitored.

Designed to reduce queues at ticket counters and simplify last-mile ticketing, the RailOne App has emerged as a one-stop digital solution for unreserved ticket booking. With faster transactions, multiple payment options and now a direct financial benefit, the app offers a smarter, safer and more convenient travel experience.

Indian Railways invites passengers to adopt the RailOne App, enjoy assured savings and be a part of the Railways’ journey towards a digitally driven, passenger-centric future.
