1. With hybrid work becoming more common, how can hotels in India adapt their tech offerings to attract remote workers and bleisure travellers?

A) As hybrid work and bleisure travel continue to grow, hotels need the ability to quickly create targeted offers and distribute them across multiple booking platforms. Hospitality technology enables hotels to adapt faster to these changing traveller behaviours. Remote workers and bleisure travellers both have very specific demands when they choose a property. They seek longer-stay packages that combine productivity with relaxation, high-speed wi-fi, work-friendly rooms and flexible check- in or check-out options, among other things.

STAAH’s distribution platform enables hotels to create packages such as extended stays or workation offers and instantly distribute them across global OTAs and direct booking channels. This helps hotels reach the right traveller segments while optimising occupancy and revenue.

2. What key amenities or experiences should hotels focus on to effectively cater to the growing segment of workation travellers?

A) Workation travellers look for a balance between productivity and relaxation. Hotels should focus on reliable high-speed connectivity, comfortable workspaces, flexible stay options and seamless digital services such as quick check-in, online payments and long-stay packages. STAAH’s distribution technology allows hotels to promote their extended-stay packages, seasonal offers, or bundled experiences across multiple booking channels simultaneously. By combining the right amenities with smart digital distribution, hotels can effectively attract professionals seeking a balanced work-and-leisure experience.

3 How are Channel Managers helping the increasingly digitalised hospitality industry streaming distribution and manage inventory across multiple booking platforms seamlessly?

A) Today’s travellers rely heavily on digital platforms to discover and book accommodation. From browsing for their favourite hotels, to booking and paying for their stays, every step of their travel journey is on a digital interface, and hotels need to be up to date with the latest tech innovations in their sector to serve their local and global guests with excellence and as per international standards.

STAAH’s channel manager enables hotels to manage rates, inventory and availability across thousands of global booking channels from a single dashboard. Whenever a booking is made or a rate is changed, the system automatically updates all connected platforms in real time, reducing manual work and preventing over bookings. This automation not only saves time but also helps hotels maintain consistent pricing across channels. As a result, hotels can improve operational efficiency while expanding their online reach.

4. How can an integrated booking engine help hotels improve direct bookings while reducing dependency on third-party platforms?

A) Reducing dependency on OTAs and increasing direct bookings is a key priority for many hotels today. An integrated booking engine enables hotels to accept reservations directly on their website in a seamless and secure way. By encouraging guests to book directly, hotels reduce reliance on third-party platforms and avoid high commission fees.

STAAH’s booking engine, for example, allows hotels to showcase real-time rates and offer secure payments through multiple global gateways. The system also integrates with the channel manager and property management systems, ensuring rates and availability stay synchronized across all channels. This helps hotels strengthen their direct booking strategy while improving overall profitability.
