The European Union’s More Than Food pavilion was present at AAHAR – The International Food & Hospitality Fair, one of Asia’s leading B2B events for the food and hospitality industry, held from 10–14 March 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Through its presence at the fair, the European Union showcased the diversity, authenticity and high quality of European food and beverage products to a wide audience of Indian industry professionals, including importers, distributors, chefs, hospitality buyers and retailers.
At the EU Pavilion, visitors had the opportunity to discover a variety of European ingredients and agricultural products, highlighting the European Union’s strong commitment to quality, safety, authenticity and sustainability. The exhibition space provided an interactive environment for business audiences to explore products, learn about their origins and experience tastings.

As part of the programme, Chef Ajay Chopra, Food Ambassador to the EU in India, inaugurated the pavilion along with Pawel Stachowiak, Counsellor – Trade and Economic affairs, Delegation of the EU to India and Amit Lohani, Founder, FIFI. Chef Chopra also hosted a live cooking demonstration showcasing how European ingredients can be incorporated into Indian recipes. The sessions illustrated the versatility of EU products and inspired new culinary applications that combine live cooking demonstration’s rich food traditions.
By participating in AAHAR, the European Union continues to strengthen engagement with India’s dynamic food and hospitality sector, creating opportunities for dialogue with industry stakeholders and promoting the unique characteristics of European agricultural products.
Quote from Chef Ajay Chopra:
“Being associated with the European Union’s More Than Food campaign has been a very meaningful experience. Working with European ingredients allows me to bring focus to the values that define them – sustainability, authenticity, quality, and safety. What I enjoy most is showing chefs and food businesses how naturally these products can be adapted into Indian recipes while still adding fresh inspiration. Platforms like AAHAR create the right opportunities to exchange ideas and build stronger connections across the food industry,” said Chef Ajay Chopra, European Union’s More Than Food Campaign Ambassador.
