LEAD NEWS : POKHARA, NEPAL PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN & B2B SALES MISSION SUCCESSFULLY HELD IN KOLKATA

The Pokhara, Nepal Promotional Campaign & B2B Sales Mission was successfully organized at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata, bringing together tourism stakeholders from Nepal and Kolkata, West Bengal, India to strengthen tourism cooperation and promote Pokhara as a premier travel destination.

The event was graced by  Mr. Jhakka Prasad Acharya, Consul General of Nepal for West Bengal, as the Chief Guest. The programme was organized by the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Gandaki Province, Nepal, with the Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA), Eastern Chapter, serving as the Supporting Association Partner.

The B2B Sales Mission provided an excellent platform for networking and business interactions between tourism professionals, tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers, and destination management companies from both countries. Delegates from Pokhara showcased the region’s diverse tourism offerings, including adventure tourism, wellness retreats, cultural experiences, pilgrimage circuits, nature-based tourism, and MICE opportunities.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Mr, Jhakka Prasad  Acharya emphasized the strong cultural and people-to-people ties between India and Nepal and highlighted the importance of tourism in further strengthening bilateral relations. He encouraged Indian travelers to explore the natural beauty, hospitality, and unique experiences that Pokhara and the Gandaki Province have to offer.

Representatives from NATTA and Gandaki Province shared insights into the latest tourism developments, improved connectivity, and new experiences available for international visitors. ETAA Eastern Chapter reiterated its commitment to promoting cross-border tourism collaborations and creating greater awareness about Nepal’s tourism potential among Indian travelers.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from travel trade professionals across Eastern India and concluded with productive B2B meetings aimed at fostering future partnerships and increasing tourist traffic between India and Nepal.

The initiative marks another significant step towards enhancing tourism cooperation and positioning Pokhara as a preferred destination for leisure, adventure, wellness, and experiential travel.
