This World Chocolate Day, Taj Coromandel Chennai invites chocolate connoisseurs and dessert lovers to immerse themselves in La Chocolaterie, a two-week celebration dedicated to the artistry of fine chocolates at La Patisserie, Chennai’s favourite Cake Shop & Delicatessen at Taj Coromandel. From 7th to 21st July, the elegant patisserie transforms into La Chocolaterie, a boutique-style chocolate experience inspired by the finest European chocolateries, where every creation celebrates the journey of cacao – from bean to exquisite confection.
At the heart of the experience is Le Mur de Chocolat, an indulgent display of handcrafted pralines and bonbons, each showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and premium ingredients. Guests can savour creations such as the Madagascar 64% Bonbon, Hazelnut Rochers, Salted Caramel Squares, and Almond Sea Salt Clusters with Java Milk Chocolate, thoughtfully presented with origin cards. These artisanal chocolates are also available in elegant silk-ribboned gift boxes, making them perfect keepsakes or thoughtful gifts.
The celebration extends to Chocolate Couture, an exclusive collection of delicious pastries and cakes crafted for the occasion. Signature offerings include the rich Flourless Marquise with Caramel, the sophisticated 72% Grand Cru Tart with Candied Orange, the indulgent Jivara Milk Chocolate Éclair adorned with Gold Leaf, the classic Black Forest Verrine, and the timeless Signature Sacher Slice. Each dessert has been carefully designed to pair beautifully with La Patisserie’s selection of premium teas and coffees.
Adding warmth to the experience is Le Chocolat Chaud, served tableside from elegant porcelain pots. Guests can choose from the velvety Classic Parisian, the aromatic Aztec Spiced with cinnamon and chilli, or the delicate White Chocolate Rose, each accompanied by house-made vanilla bean marshmallows and citrus madeleines.
The experience is elevated with sophisticated cocoa and ivory décor, complemented by soft piano melodies that createa tranquil ambience. Guests can also embark on a delightful Chocolate Passport journey, to collect stamps across pralines, desserts and hot chocolates, and browse the dedicated gifting corner that offers beautifully packaged praline collectionsand signature drinking chocolate bombs, allowing guests to take a piece of the celebration home.
