The Delhi Tourism Department is organizing the Teej Festival on August 8 and 9, 2026, at Dilli Haat INA and Pitampura. A variety of cultural programs, competitions, and traditional activities are being held during this two-day festival.
Today, theĀ Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, inaugurated the Teej Festival at Dilli Haat INA. Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Kapil Mishra (Delhi Government), Hon’ble MLA (Greater Kailash) Smt. Shikha Rai, Managing Director Shri Sunil Anchipakka, and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
The Teej Festival symbolizes cultural heritage alongside a love for nature and traditional values, conveying a message of harmony, love, and beauty within society. Competitions such as Mehendi, Bindi, and Rangoli are being organized as part of the festival, with prizes being awarded to the winners.
The ‘Teej Queen ā Miss Teej 2026’ competition is also scheduled to be held tomorrow. To add to the excitement, activities such as swings, musical chairs, and Teej-themed slogan and quiz competitions are being organized for women.
Stalls offering delicious cuisine as well as beautiful handicrafts and handloom products are available for visitors to shop. Additionally, Teej-themed selfie points and stalls featuring Mehendi and bangles are further enhancing the appeal of the event. Adorned with theme-based decorations, Dilli Haat INA and Pitampura promise a memorable experience for Delhi residents and tourists visiting from other states.
