LATEST NEWS: DARJEELING HIMALAYAN RAILWAY STATION MAHOTSAV TO START NEXT WEEK, CODE FOR COMMUNITIES, TOY TRAIN EDITION TO PROCEED AS SCHEDULED

In view of the circumstances that occurred yesterday and the ongoing restoration-related work, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) Station Mahotsav has been shifted to next week Exact dates will be communicated soon.

All diesel services have been restored from today, and steam will be restored within 05/09.
As several DHR personnel are currently engaged in restoration and related essential activities, the Station Mahotsav programme will be rescheduled. The new date will be announced at the earliest possible opportunity.

Meanwhile, the scheduled Code for Communities – Toy Train Edition being organised in collaboration with GDG Siliguri will go as per plan.

The programme will commence from Kurseong Railway Station at 9:00 AM on 5th September and will bring together heritage and technology through an engaging experience aboard the iconic DHR Heritage Train.

The initiative aims to connect the region’s rich railway heritage with the future of technology, encouraging young minds to explore coding, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies while experiencing the living heritage of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.

Further updates regarding the rescheduled DHR Station Mahotsav will be shared in due course.
