Lemon Tree Hotels, one of India’s largest hotel chains, continues to strengthen its presence in Bihar with the signing of two new properties in Bodhgaya – Lemon Tree Hotel, Bodhgaya and Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Bodhgaya. With a combined inventory of 145 rooms, the signings further strengthen the group’s presence in Bihar, where it currently operates two hotels and has three properties in the development pipeline, including these two new signings.
A globally recognised spiritual and pilgrimage destination, Bodhgaya attracts visitors from across India and international markets. Supported by its significance as a Buddhist pilgrimage centre, as well as growing leisure and business travel, the destination presents an attractive opportunity for branded hospitality. The two signings will enable Lemon Tree Hotels to address a broader range of traveller segments while expanding its footprint in the state.
Lemon Tree Hotel, Bodhgaya will feature 75 rooms, a restaurant, along with banquet hall and meeting/conference facilities catering to both social and business requirements. The hotel will also offer a swimming pool and fitness centre. Located approximately 10 kms from Bodhgaya Airport and 14 kms from Gaya Railway Station, the property will provide convenient access for both leisure and business travellers.

Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, Bodhgaya will comprise 70 rooms, along with a restaurant, banquet hall and meeting/conference facilities. The hotel will also feature a swimming pool and fitness centre. Located approximately 11 kms from Bodhgaya Airport and 15 kms from Gaya Railway Station, the property will cater to guests travelling to Bodhgaya for pilgrimage, leisure, business and other purposes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., said, “We are delighted to expand our presence in Bihar with this strategic twin signing in Bodhgaya, a destination of profound cultural and spiritual significance with a strong and diverse visitor base. As the destination continues to attract pilgrims and travellers from India and around the world, there is growing potential for quality, branded accommodation across segments. With Lemon Tree Hotel and Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels, we will be able to cater to diverse traveller needs while bringing the strength, consistency and service ethos of our brands to this destination.”
The expansion reinforces the group’s strategy of identifying destinations with strong tourism and business potential and establishing a diversified portfolio across both established and emerging markets.
