Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) 2026 opened its doors from 7 to 9 September at the Manhattan Grand Hotel, Hulhumalé, bringing together the region’s hospitality industry for three days of business, innovation, competition and networking.
It was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Tourism, Ministry of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Niyaz. The dignitaries in attendance were Mohamed Rizwi Hassen, Sri Lankan High Commissioner, Vice Admiral (Retd.) Faisal Rasul Lodhi, Pakistan High Commissioner, Dave Williams, Ambassador from US, Dewi Gustina Tobing, Ambassador from Indonesia, Yahya Hassan Alqahtani, Ambassador from Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ali Zuhair, Managing Director, HDC and Mr. Amir Mansoor, Managing Director, Lily International (Pvt.) Ltd.
This year’s edition is set to be one of the most internationally diverse FHAM events to date, featuring over 100 exhibitors from more than 22 countries, including four international country pavilions. The event will create a dynamic platform connecting international suppliers with the Maldives’ rapidly growing hospitality sector.
FHAM 2026 is also expanding its role as a comprehensive MICE platform, offering end-to-end solutions and business opportunities for resorts, hotels, restaurants, guesthouses and cafés, while providing an important meeting point for hospitality professionals, buyers, suppliers and industry leaders.
Adding to the significance of this year’s edition, FHAM 2026 will be hosted at the Manhattan Grand Hotel, a new venue set to support the growing MICE industry in the Maldives with modern facilities and services for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. FHAM 2026 will also mark the hotel’s opening to the public, making the event a significant milestone for both the venue and the wider hospitality and events industry in the Maldives.
The FHAM Culinary Challenge will see more than 600 participants representing over 60 resorts compete across a wide range of culinary disciplines. The event will also feature a Barista Championship with 20 participants from 20 resorts, a Housekeeping Competition with teams from 30 resorts, and a Mocktail Competition featuring 35 participants from more than 30 resorts.
With a strong combination of international exhibitors, industry professionals, competitive talent and a landmark new venue, FHAM 2026 is expected to further strengthen the Maldives’ position as a growing hub for hospitality trade, culinary excellence, MICE and industry collaboration.
The exhibition and competitions will take place from 7–9 September 2026, followed by the FHAM 2026 Award Ceremony on 10 September.
