Another feather in the cap of Kerala. The God’s Own Country finds a place in the list of 52 places to visit in 2023 by The New York Times.
While the Indian state has been ranked in the thirteenth position, one place below, Bhutan, which is termed as the happiest country on earth. London bagged the first position.
Both Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinnarayi Vijayan and tourism minister, P. A. Moahmmad Riyas is ecstatic with the latest report of The New York Times, one of the most famous and trusted newspapers of the world.
“ The @nytimes has selected Kerala as one of the 52 places to visit in 2023. Our exemplary approach to community tourism that allows travellers to relish Kerala’s rich culture and breathtaking landscapes has been lauded. Yet another exciting achievement for @KeralaTourism,” tweets CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
“ From caravan tourism to responsible tourism we have launched several new tourism experiences for the travellers in recent times. We are really delighted with the fact that Kerala tourism is now globally acknowledged ,”said tourism minister of Kerala, P.A. Mohammad Riyas.
Last year, Kerala also bagged the World Travel Market global award for its innovative initiative of responsible street tourism in London.
New York Times reports have mentioned the beaches, backwater lagoons, cuisines and the rich culture of the Indian state located in South India.
