In a landmark development for India’s heritage hospitality sector, His Highness Shri Pradyot Deb Burman, the titular King of Tripura, has appointed Gunjan Kumar as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Heritage Club- Hotels & Resorts, with a mandate to drive expansion and establish a strong Pan-India presence.

The Heritage Club – Hotels & Resorts, envisioned by His Highness, currently boasts the iconic The Heritage Club Tripura Castle Hotel & Spa in Shillong, Meghalaya— recognized as the only heritage property of its kind in North-East India. The Group also operates three prestigious Royal Venues in Agartala, Tripura, and has an ambitious pipeline of upcoming projects across Meghalaya, Tripura, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and other parts of the North-Eastern region.
The appointment of Gunjan Kumar marks a strategic step toward transforming the Group into a nationally recognized ultra-heritage hospitality brand.

Strengthening Commercial Leadership with Debasish Sarkar :

Strengthening the leadership team further, the Group has also announced the appointment of Mr. Debasish Sarkar as Director of Sales.
Debasish joining the Group as Director of Sales, Mr. Debasish Sarkar will be based in Kolkata and will lead the Regional Sales Office (RSO)
teams across Kolkata, Guwahati, and the rest of India, focusing on revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and national market expansion.
A hospitality sales professional with nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Sarkar has built a strong career across leading hotel brands and
regional markets. Known for his strong network, regional expertise, and results-driven sales strategies, Mr. Sarkar has consistently contributed to market expansion and revenue optimization across hospitality brands.
