Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, announced the appointment of Mr. Naarayan T V as its Chief Marketing Officer, effective August 29, 2025. In this role, he will oversee the airline’s marketing, corporate communications & ESG, customer experience, eCommerce, customer analytics, and partnerships functions. He will also serve as a member of Akasa’s Executive Committee.
The appointment is aligned with Akasa Air’s accelerated growth journey as it strengthens its brand and customer proposition while progressing towards its vision of becoming one of the top 30 airlines globally by the turn of this decade.
With over two decades of cross-industry experience spanning eCommerce, fintech, banking, D2C broking, and global consumer brands, Naarayan brings to Akasa Air a strong blend of strategic vision, digital-first expertise, and customer-centric leadership. He has consistently played a transformative role in shaping leading global and Indian brands, with a body of work that spans marketing communication, digital marketing, market research, product design, user experience, acquisition, sponsorships and IPs, brand building, creative strategy, content marketing, and large-scale product launch campaigns across ATL and BTL platforms.

Naarayan’s career is marked by a proven ability to build brands with strong market differentiation and customer loyalty. At IDFC FIRST Bank, he played a pivotal role in building the brand through strategic initiatives across sponsorships, product launches and large impact properties across genres. Earlier, he spearheaded PayPal’s inaugural integrated brand launch campaign in India and designed the merchant acquisition model that scaled tenfold in its first year. Recognised among India’s leading CMOs, he has won several awards for innovation and excellence, including the DMA Asia Trail Blazer Award in 2023.

With a clear focus on sustained, long-term growth, Akasa Air has placed a firm order of 226 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes, powered by CFM fuel-efficient LEAP-1B engines. It currently operates 30 737 MAX aircraft, which deliver superior efficiency in reducing fuel use and carbon emissions. The aircraft also have a quieter cabin with 40 per cent less noise, fulfilling the airline’s promise of being an environmentally progressive company with the youngest and greenest fleet in the Indian skies.
