Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) was honoured at the national level for the excellent innovations in promoting the tourist destinations of Madhya Pradesh, providing experience based tourism to tourists and doing outstanding work in the field of environment friendly tourism.
MPTB has been given the ‘Best Tourism State Board’ award in the country’s major travel exhibition SATTE (South Asian Travel and Tourism Exchange) held in Greater Noida. Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, Mr. Sheo Shekhar Shukla expressed happiness over the achievement and said that the Tourism Department is always committed to the accessibility, convenience and safety of the tourists visiting the state. Efforts are being made to ensure that more and more tourists visit and explore the ‘Heart of Incredible India’ through an array of innovations and initiatives.
The Deputy Director of Event and Marketing Department, Mr. Yuvraj Padole, received this honour on behalf of the Board. It is noteworthy that the Board participated prominently in the three-day exhibition and promoted the tourism destinations and products of the state before the travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers and various stakeholders from the country and abroad.
The Board has been given this honor on the basis of high level performance in the field of tourism, infrastructure development, economic development of local community, preservation of culture and heritage of the state etc.
Visitors at the MPTB stall also got a chance to experience virtual tours of Sanchi, Amarkantak, Narmada Ghats and other destinations.
