In the jubilee year of Chhattisgarh’s State Foundation Day, under the chairmanship of Mr. Neelu Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, an important decision was taken in the recently held meeting of the Executive Committee that state-level tourism awards will be presented on the occasion of World Tourism Day, 27 September 2025 to institutions and individuals who have done outstanding work in the field of tourism in the state.

The objective of these awards is to promote tourism in the state, encourage innovation, and recognize the best efforts contributing to the overall development of the tourism sector.

This year, on World Tourism Day, awards will be given in the following categories:

• Best Hotel
• Best Tour Operator (CTB Registered)
• Best District Tourism Promotion Award
• Best Tourism Startup/Entrepreneurship
• CTB Star Performer (Best Resort) – (only for Chhattisgarh Tourism Board units)
• CTB Star Performer (Tourist Information Centre) – (only for CTB Tourist Information Centres)
• Best Homestay
• Best Social Media Influencer
• Best Eco-Tourism Site Award
• Best Adventure Tourism Award

Each award will include a cash prize of ₹11,000, a memento, and a certificate of recognition.
