Bihar has bagged the best religious tourism destination award in the just concluded India International Travel Mart (IITF) -2023 at Bengaluru.
State tourism secretary, Abhay Kumar Singh and Director ( Tourism) of Bihar , Vinay Kumar Rai, both have been present at the ITTF -2023 at Bengaluru and have taken the award.
“ It is a proud momenent for Bihar Tourism department. Our tourism department is constantly working on providing aditional facilities to boost the tourism in the state. It is a recognition to our work and we will work further to attract more tourists to the top destinations in Bihar,”said Mr. Abhay Kumar Singh, tourism secretary of Bihar.
Congratulating all the stakeholders, Director of Tourism, Vinau Kumar rai said that it will encourage the department to reach its goals.
Bihar is famous for religious tourism in the country and has famous religious toursists destinations like Rajgir- Nalanda, Gaya, Bodhgaya etc.
Bihar is one of the most sacred place of various religions like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, jainism, and Islam. Pilgrims travel to Bihar for Mahabodhi Temple, a Buddhist Shrine and UNESCO World Heritage site, is also situated in Bodh Gaya.
The Patna Sahib Gurudwara of Patna City is also world famous and pilgrims and religious tourists come from all over the globe. It is one of the holiest cities of the sikhs and the tenth sikh Guru Govind Singh was born here. Guru Nanak and Guru Tegh Bahadur also visited Patna.
