BREAKING NEWS : EGYPT PRIME MINISTER FOLLOWS UP ON PREPARATIONS FOR THE OPENING CELEBRATION OF THE GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, held a meeting recently  at the government headquarters in New Alamein City to follow up on preparations for the opening celebration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled for November 1st, with the attendance of Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, the CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum, Ambassador Yasser Shaaban, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Cultural Relations, Mr. Mohamed Al-Saadi, a board member of the United Company and the general supervisor of the preparations for the opening celebration, along with several officials.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly emphasised the importance of continuous follow-up on the preparations for the opening celebration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, following the announcement of the new opening date, to ensure integration and harmony among the various state agencies involved in organising the event, and to present it in a distinctive manner that reflects the significance of this cultural edifice and the national importance of the opening event.

For his part, Ambassador Yasser Shaaban discussed the status of the guest list of world leaders for this unique event, confirming that invitations have been sent to various countries around the world, and this file is being monitored through Egypt’s ambassadors abroad, aiming to secure the attendance of the largest number of state leaders. A list of prominent public figures who have been invited to the celebration was also reviewed.

Mr. Mohamed Al-Saadi presented several aspects of the preparations for the celebration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, explaining the ongoing arrangements for the main ceremony and providing a summary of its segments, as well as the accompanying events.

He also addressed the expected media coverage of the event, noting the significant interest from various global media platforms in covering the celebration, which is anticipated to be at the centre of global media attention due to the cultural significance of the Grand Museum, which transcends national boundaries to be considered a global cultural heritage.
