Kerala is hosting the country’s first-ever ‘Wedding and MICE Conclave- Powered By Kerala Travel Mart’ on August 14 to 16 this year in Kochi, providing luxury wedding organisers, major resorts and other stakeholders in these fast-growing sectors a platform to exhibit their products, perspective and vision.
The B2B event is organised by Kerala Travel Mart Society (KTM), in association with the Government of Kerala. It seeks to fully utilize the potential of marriages as well as MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) as catalysts to tourism in the state. The event comes amid the increasing necessity to update and integrate regional travel with the global trends in the sector, when authorities are striving to transform ‘God’s Own Country’ into India’s top-most destination for wedding and MICE.
Kerala Travel Mart Society is the country’s first public-private partnership initiative, comprising all the stakeholders in the travel and hospitality sector in the state. It organizes Kerala Travel Mart (KTM), India’s largest B2B biennial event, which also showcases the state’s destinations and products before the global audience.
‘The Wedding and MICE Conclave’, which feature a series of business meetings and seminars, will specially promote Kerala’s best beaches, heritage buildings and backwater resorts. It will also see the introduction of wedding and honeymoon packages. Besides having a major exhibition in the wedding-MICE tourism sector, the event will feature an exhibition by hotels, resorts, conference venues, conference organizers and technical workers in the MICE sector. This will provide the sellers from Kerala a platform to connect with those service providers who are in the Destination Wedding and MICE operations.
