Madhya Pradesh Tourism left a lasting impression at the recently concluded Travel Tourism Fair (TTF) 2024 in Kolkata held from 12th July to 14th July. Madhya Pradesh Tourism stall showcased the state’s diverse cultural heritage, upcoming festivals, and the revolutionary launch of air taxis. The stall attracted travel enthusiasts eager to explore the state’s captivating offerings. From cultural immersion to wildlife safaris, the state promises an “Offbeat Multispecialty Destination of First Choice” experience.
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board highlighted its recognition as a ‘Brand’ in national and international tourism, receiving praise for its tourism development efforts. The State is revolutionizing travel with the multifaceted initiatives like launch of air taxis, offering a smarter, quicker, and more efficient way to explore the state. This initiative positions Madhya Pradesh as a premier travel destination with seamless connectivity. New initiatives like spiritual corridors -Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain, improved connectivity with the launch of the First intra state air taxi services connecting 8 cities across the state, India’s First Craft Handloom village – Pranpur near Chanderi which was inaugurated this year itself, and many more.
Mrs. Bidisha Mukherjee (IAS) , AMD, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board also said, ‘ We have adopted Sustainable and Responsible tourism practices in the State. A versatile State having variety of tourism products, like wildlife safaris, natural scenic beauty, adventure activities, camping, water sports, Cuisines, Heritage, Tribal culture, Handicrafts, Wellness and Mindful Tourism and many more things to explore and experience. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s recent achievements were proudly displayed, including awards for ‘Best State Promoting Domestic Tourism’ & ‘Best State Promoting Fairs & Festivals.’ The annual festivals offer a vibrant blend of history, wildlife, architecture, and cultural experiences. These festivals cater to adrenaline-seeking travellers and provide a platform to witness the state’s rich heritage. MP is set to welcome travellers during its mega annual festivals like The Chanderi Festival, The Kuno Forest Festival, Gandhisagar Festival and Jal Mahotsav from October 2024.
The state’s commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism practices was highlighted.
This includes promoting rural tourism options like gram stays, farm stays, and homestays, fostering economic development and cultural preservation.
Madhya Pradesh proudly announced welcoming a record-breaking 11 crore tourists in 2023. The TTF served as a platform to showcase new tourism initiatives, including spiritual corridors, improved connectivity with air taxis, and the inauguration of India’s First Craft Handloom village. Upcoming mega-festivals like The Chanderi Festival and The Kuno Forest Festival promise to attract even more visitors. Madhya Pradesh’s emergence as a film shooting hub was addressed.
The state offers subsidies and a streamlined permission process, making it an attractive location for filmmakers.
Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board is strategically promoting new travel circuits catering to diverse interests, including heritage, culture, adventure, wildlife, spiritual, rural, and wellness tourism. The State boasts a vast forest area, numerous wildlife sanctuaries, and iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Khajuraho, Bhimbetka, and Sanchi. The state caters to a broad range of travelers, offering customized packages for senior citizens, group tours, corporate events, and more.
