KOLKATA, 16 DECEMBER 2024:

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADK Hospital, to strengthen our collaboration in promoting medical tourism offerings of the Maldives. The agreement was signed by MMPRC’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO and MD), Mr Ibrahim Shiuree, and ADK’s Managing Director, Mr Ahmed Afaal, at a ceremony held on the afternoon of 12th December 2024 at MMPRC Headquarters.

Speaking about the initiative, CEO and MD Shiuree, stated “The Maldives has long been synonymous with luxury and leisure. By diversifying our tourism offerings to include medical tourism, we are not only strengthening our position as a global travel destination but also contributing to the development of healthcare infrastructure in the Maldives. This MoU with ADK Hospital marks an important milestone in realising the Government’s vision for a more diversified tourism sector.”

Under this collaboration, MMPRC and ADK Hospital will work together to enhance the Maldives’ reputation as a destination for high-quality medical services. This partnership highlights the potential of medical tourism to contribute to the country’s economic growth while providing exceptional healthcare solutions to international visitors.
