BREAKING NEWS : RAJASTHAN TOURISM PAVILION INAUGURATED AT ‘JAPAN TOURISM EXPO AICHI’

JAIPUR,TOKYO | 25  SEPTEMBER  2025

Rajasthan Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riyar and Debjani Chakrabarti, Minister of Environment and Commerce at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, jointly inaugurated the Rajasthan Pavilion at the ‘Japan Tourism Expo Aichi’ held in Tokyo on Thursday.

Before this, Commissioner Rukmani Riyar also joined ministers and senior officials from the Japan Tourism Board and other participating countries to inaugurate the Expo. Accompanied by Additional Director Anand Tripathi, FHTR members Tarun Bansal and Hemant Mittal, and co-exhibitor Deepak Dhayal, she held one-on-one discussions with members of the Japan Tourism Board (JTB) – including its chairman and top travel agents – as well as the President and officials of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). During these interactions, she showcased Rajasthan’s captivating tourist destinations and offerings, and presented a special film highlighting the state’s tourism potential.

Rajasthan Pavilion Becomes the Centre of Attraction:

With a vibrant display of Rajasthan’s tourism attractions and unique products, the Rajasthan Tourism Stand emerged as a major highlight of the Japan Tourism Expo Aichi. Live demonstrations of Rajasthani handicrafts at the pavilion drew large crowds of visitors.

Interaction with Japanese Media:

During the event, Commissioner, Rukmini Riyar also engaged with Japanese media representatives, introducing them to the grandeur of Rajasthan tourism and its distinctive travel experiences. Business meetings were also organized to strengthen tourism ties.

Japanese Bloggers and Indophiles at the Rajasthan Stand:

Japanese blogger Madhu Rajasthani joined FHTR members at the Rajasthan stand, where a traditional folk performance was presented. Several Japanese bloggers and India enthusiasts (Indophiles) visited the pavilion throughout the day, expressing keen interest in Rajasthan’s culture and offerings.

“Palace on Wheels” – A Special Highlight:

Among Japanese travel agents, there was particular fascination with the Palace on Wheels luxury train and Rajasthan’s heritage hotels, even in a country known for its high-speed bullet trains.

Growing Prospects for Japanese Tourists to Rajasthan:

The diverse architecture, landscapes, and rich art and cultural heritage of Rajasthan sparked strong curiosity among Japanese travel agents. This growing interest is expected to translate into a significant rise in Japanese tourist arrivals to the state in the near future.
