The world’s largest tourism trade fair, ITB Berlin, was inaugurated on Tuesday in Berlin, the capital of Germany.
On this occasion, Stand No. 200 of the Rajasthan Tourism Department in Hall 5.2 was formally inaugurated by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and India’s Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Ajit Gupte, by jointly cutting the ribbon. During the event, Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also showcased the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy–2025 at the Rajasthan Tourism Pavilion.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Rajasthan Tourism Department Commissioner Ms. Rukmani Riar, Additional Director Pawan Kumar Jain, and Joint Director Dr. Puneeta Singh.
Representatives from Rajasthan stakeholders including FHTR, Truly India Palace on Wheels, Alchemy De Voyage Private Limited, and Interactive Tours to India Private Limited were also present.
Leading the Rajasthan Tourism delegation, Commissioner Ms. Rukmani Riar held discussions with Mr. Hargovind Singh Rana, President of Rajasthan Foundation Germany, regarding promoting Rajasthan tourism internationally.
She welcomed international delegates, tour operators, and visitors at the Rajasthan Pavilion and shared information about the latest innovations in Rajasthan tourism.

The Rajasthan Pavilion attracted special attention due to its cultural grandeur, architectural beauty, and innovative presentation.
It is noteworthy that ITB Berlin is being held from March 3 to March 5, where the Rajasthan Tourism Department, along with other Indian states, is showcasing various tourism attractions to increase the number of foreign tourists visiting Rajasthan.
In the coming days at ITB, through various business meetings, promotional videos, and interactive sessions, Rajasthan will continue to present its rich heritage, hospitality traditions, and sustainable tourism vision on the global stage.
Notably, this international event has been organized since 1966 and is considered one of the leading platforms of the global tourism industry. This year marks its 60th edition, highlighting six decades of achievements and evolution in the global tourism sector. Known for its well-structured organization, the fair features geographical divisions of countries and destinations along with major sectors such as adventure tourism, business travel, medical tourism, and travel technology.
