Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur has been ranked #1 globally in ‘One-of-a-Kind Hotels’ category by Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards 2025. Tripadvisor unveiled the category this year to honour the most unique and unforgettable stays that go beyond conventional hospitality. This recognition places the hotel in the top 1% globally based on traveller reviews and ratings.

Originally built as Jag Niwas between 1743 and 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur floats on the serene waters of Lake Pichola. Once the summer retreat of the royal family, this 83-key palace has been meticulously restored to its former glory, offering a glimpse into a bygone era. Culinary experiences range from authentic Rajasthani flavours at Neel Kamal and European cuisine at Bhairo to global fare at Jharokha, complemented by signature cocktails at Amrit Sagar. The hotel is renowned for its curated experiences including heritage walks through the palace, private dining under the stars and the award-winning J Wellness Circle, a holistic wellness offering based on ancient Indian healing practices.
