The Tour Operators Association of India (TOAI) inaugurated its highly anticipated Global Tourism Summit at the luxurious Hotel Le Meridien, Calangute Goa. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. Deepak Narvekar, Dy General Manager of Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Mr. Rakesh Mathur, President of the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI), MR Abdul Nazir,( President to TOAI Mr. Peerzada Faiyaz Ahemd( National Advisor to TOAI And Mr Shrikant Samant, (State co-ordinator & GTS CONVENOR 2025 to TOAI).
During the inaugural session, Mr. Deepak Narvekar, Dy General Manager Marketing of Goa Tourism Development Corporation Ltd shared insights into the future plans of the Goa Tourism, highlighting the state’s commitment to sustainable tourism development and Goa beyond Beaches campaign initiated by Department of Tourism.
Mr. Shankar Roy, Vice President TOAI, represented Jharkhand tourism partnering state of GTS.
Mr. Rakesh Mathur emphasized the importance of environmental awareness among the public and law enforcement agencies, stressing the need for collective efforts to promote responsible tourism practices.
The summit features engaging sessions and discussions focused on Tour Operators Vs Online Travel Portals, knowledge session on GST & TCS by Chartered Accountant Mr. Vaibhav Pai Fondekar. Sustainable Tourism, Destination Management, Tourism Infrastructure, etc.. The event brings together industry stakeholders, experts, and policymakers to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions to drive the growth of the tourism sector.
