CHANDIGARH, 28 AUGUST 2024:
To promote Thailand as a perfect holiday destination for Indians, Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the Amazing Thailand Roadshow to India in Lucknow on 21 st August and Chandigarh on 23 rd August 2024.
The networking events started with a B-B session where Indian travel agents got an opportunity to meet and network with 30 sellers from Thailand including representatives of hotels, attractions, DMC’S and airlines.
The evening commenced with an opening remark by Mrs. Phimpha Ratanapruk, Deputy Executive Director – ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific Department- Tourism Authority of Thailand, who welcomed the travel trade in both cities.
This was followed by the Amazing Thailand Product presentation on new destinations, products and experiences in Thailand along with a focus on Thailand’s Wellness Tourism offerings.
At the roadshows, Mrs Siriges-a-nong Trirattanasongpol, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand- New Delhi Office, highlighted the importance of Indian visitors to Thailand and appreciated the continuous support of the Indian travel trade in making Thailand the preferred holiday destination for Indians. Currently India is ranked at no 3 spot for inbound tourists to Thailand.
The Director also expressed her gratitude in visiting the beautiful cities of Lucknow and Chandigarh and meeting with the travel agents, wedding planners and media there. She stated that Tier 2 cities in India have shown a rapid growth in travellers to Thailand and continue to have high potential for international travel.
