The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) , Department of Tourism , Government of Maharashtra  are inviting people to contribute ideas, suggestions, and feedback to shape  Maharashtra as a  leading global  tourist destination under the Viksit Maharashtra – 2047 Vision.

In its website Maharashtra Tourism and MTDC are inviting the applications and have urged the  interested persons to submit their responses online by 18 June 2025.

Already,CM Devendra Fadnavis has directed all departments to prepare a Vision Document for Viksit Maharashtra 2027. He has said in line with the vision of the central government Maharashtra also  wished to become a $1 trillion economy by 2023.

The state is also home to India’s biggest film and entertainment production hub and  Mumbai  remains the financial capital of the country.

The Tourism Policy of Maharashtra  2024, targets Rs.100,000 crores private  investments  over the next one decade and aims to generate 1.8 million jobs through PPP mode, focus on rural tourism, events and festivals, infrastructure development, diversification of tourism, digital marketing, investments and job creations etc.

Tourism Contributes around 9 percent of Maharashtra’s total GDP.
