September 2023 will be remembered by small business owners in India as an eventful month.
Why eventful ?
In this month Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg introduced integration of UPI payments within WhatsApp Business messaging.
Customers can now pay businesses directly on the app using their preferred UPI option.
This new service option includes various UPI options like Google Pay, PhonePay and Paytm.
While payment options are being lined up, RazorPay and PayU are initial partners offering seamless transactions.
The second facility that can cheer up the small business community is extending Meta Verified initiatives to hook business platforms like WhatsApp , Instagram and Facebook.
This new initiative will allow businesses official badges protection against impersonation, enhanced account support and so on.
Further, in weeks to come, Meta will introduce WhatsApp Flows, an automation business tool for common business processes like forms submissions, ticket booking and so on.
Meta’s WhatsApp has 500 million users in India. Commerce solution through WhatsApp would usher a new revolution in online business.
