
“TRAVEL ANDAMAN AT LEAST ONCE “

With the support of Department of Tourism, Government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Others organizations like Anadaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) and Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO) organised the third 3rd Road Show in Port Blair, Andaman.

The organizers have given thanks to the Secretary, Departmentt. Of Tourism, Government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Smt. Jyoti Kumari, IAS, Mr. M. Vinod, President AATO & ABTO State Head of Andaman and his team, Director Tourism, Government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands , Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS, Assistant Director of India Tourism, Andaman, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, President, ANCCI, Dr. K. Chandrasekhar, Chapter Chairman, IATO and others for kind support in making this Andaman Road Show a successful event.

The guests lightened the lamp and the programmee started.
The hosts also have given special thanks to the Participants and the Tourism stakeholders of India and South Korea who are promoting Andaman and Nicobar Islands nationally and globally. Mr. M.Vinod stressed the need of eco friendly tourism and said that Brand Andaman will be promoted globally and said that already the islands have touched the tourist footfall figures before the Covid -19 outbreak, its added attractions are adventure tourism destinations, flora and fauna and water sports activities we offer complete packages here.

There was also B2B meetings with the tour operators.
Smt. Jyoti Kumari, tourism sectreatry of Andama and Nicobar islands thanking the organizers said that for the last three years consecutively the road show has been organized and tour operators from mainland India are regularly attending.
“Andaman tourism is like an onion which has several layers , with Havelock being the most popular destination . Andaman is a congregation of 836 islands , which are geographically spread, it is a heritage location associated with freedom struggle movement and is regarded as mini India as people from parts have settled here, besides the historically known tribal lifestyles. Astro tourism is very much popular and both the Northern and Southern hemispheres in the night sky can be seen , diving is also very much popular and a paradise for the bird watchers – anywhere in the world you will not find such varieties of avian species. Though that this is the off season here due to monsoon and still we have so many tourists. Andamans is an all season destination which can attract travelers from all parts of the world,”she added.
“Thanks to the President, Varanasi Travel Guild, Chapter Chairman ETTA, Karnataka, Mr. Vinod and his team like Mr. Rafique and others , Vice Present of ABTO Mr. Rajesh Saraf, Vice President of ABTO Mr Santosh Singh, Mr. Manish Mishra ABTO Bihar State Head, Media, Hotels Partners, Transporters for kind support in this mart,” said Dr. Kaulesh Kumar, Secretary General of Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO). He has also urged the tourism department of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to hold Andaman Tourism road shows in popular places in the heartland states of India and promised all help from ABTO.
The event ended with a four days FAM Trip for the visiting delegates and tour operators and travel agents coming from across the country.
