KOLKATA, 8 MARCH 2025:

“The fire of the fire shines brightly, the woman wears a new dress, the man is a pampered man, this is Murdhar’s country.” Speaking on the topic on women of Rajasthan in the auditorium of Duckback House, Kolkata of All India Marwari Conference on International Women’s Day, as soon as the keynote speaker Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo began his speech with this couplet, the auditorium echoed with loud applause.

First of all, the National President of All India Marwari Conference, Mr. Shivkumar Lohia, while introducing the relevance of the topic of women of Rajasthan and the keynote speaker, welcomed all the visiting dignitaries and expressed his views.

Speaking as the keynote speaker, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Information Centre, Kolkata, Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Rajasthan and an enlightened expert of Rajasthani literature, Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo gave his witty  speech with the couplet “If you have great luck, then you should worship Lord Ram, time is great, wisdom is great, and you have to do good deeds, and you have to do good deeds.”

Mr. Ratnoo, speaking in Rajasthani language, spoke in detail citing very meaningful and inspiring incidents with the example of Rajasthan’s female characters Panna Dhay, Meera Bai, Haandi Rani, Karma Bai, Amrita Devi and Meera Samaan Bai of Matsya.

On this occasion, motivational speaker Naina Mor, daughter of Marwari society, also gave her beautiful speech.

Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo was honored with a dupatta and a memento. On this occasion, the famous Rajasthani scholar from Kolkata, Mr. Banshidhar Sharma also addressed the gathering. Kedar Nath Gupta, Mahesh Jalan, Prakash Kila, Pawan Jalan and hundreds of other dignitaries were present on this occasion.

During  the programme, a library was also inaugurated by the guests by cutting the ribbon in the central office of the All India Marwari Conference.

This prestigious ceremony was conducted by the National General Secretary of the conference, Mr. Kailashpati Todi.
