In a vibrant celebration of India’s ancient wellness traditions, Indiatourism Delhi, under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, organized a grand Mass Yoga Session on the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga at the Sun Dial Lawns of the Qutub Minar Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The event aligned with this year’s global theme:
“Yoga for One Earth, One Health / एक पृथ्वी, एक स्वास्थ्य के लिए योग”, emphasizing the intrinsic link between human health and planetary well-being.

- Shri Gajendra Singh Yadav, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA)
- Shri Lakshay Singhal, IAS, District Magistrate, South Delhi
- Ms. Priyanga Wickramasinghe, Deputy High Commissioner, Embassy of Sri Lanka

- Senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism
Programme Highlights:
Renowned Yoga expert Shri Gopal Rishi from Sukrit Wellness and his team led the participants through a harmonious series of Yogic Asanas and Pranayama techniques. Shri Rishi also addressed the gathering, highlighting yoga’s profound impact on mental clarity, physical vitality, and spiritual balance.
Over 400 participants took part in the session, including:
- Members of industry bodies such as IATO, ADTOI, and TAAI
- Regional Level Tourist Guides and Yuva Tourism Club students
- Officials from the Archaeological Survey of India
- Faculty and students from Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa (IHM)
- Local residents and Ministry of Tourism officials
The programme began with a welcome address by the Regional Director (North), followed by remarks from Shri Gajendra Singh Yadav, MLA. A special moment of unity was felt as attendees watched the live broadcast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address, inspiring collective reflection on yoga’s relevance in daily life.
Commemorative Gesture:
As a token of participation, T-shirts, caps, and yoga mats were distributed to all attendees. Students from IHM Pusa also played a pivotal role by introducing the programme and sharing insights on how yoga bridges culture, wellness, and tourism.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Principal of IHM, acknowledging the contribution of all dignitaries, participants, volunteers, and supporting organizations.
The celebration created an atmosphere of peace, wellness, and cultural pride, reaffirming India’s leadership in promoting yoga as a universal path to health and harmony.

More than 200 students of Yuva Tourism Club members from 3 Hospitality Institute namely, BNGIHM, GNIHM and NSHM participated in the event.
The event commenced with the live telecast from Vishakhapatnam which was displayed on big LED screen.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Swami Atmapriyananda ji, Prof-Chancellor RKMVERI and Secretary, University Centre who highlighted the importance of Yoga in our daily life
Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Bhubaneswar Office organized the 11th International Day of Yoga 2025 on June 21st at the historic site of Dhauli Shanti Stupa in Bhubaneswar. The event, held with the inspiring theme “Yoga for One Earth and One Health,” drew approximately 200 enthusiastic participants, fostering a sense of unity and well-being.
The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, highlighting the significance of the occasion. These included:
• Shri Chandan Mallick, Sarpanch of Dhauli Gram Panchayat
• Shri Devi Prasad Mohanty, Block Development Officer (BDO) of Bhubaneswar
• Shri Anjan Kumar Barik, Assistant Director of Bhubaneswar Tourism Division
• Shri Bijay Kumar Majhi, Statistical Investigator of Odisha Tourism
The gathering comprised a diverse group, including stakeholders from the tourism industry and eager Yuva Tourism Club students from Dasabatia Govt. High School, Dasabatia, Konark and Jageswari Bidyapitha, Orei of Puri District. Their active participation underscored the event’s aim to promote yoga’s benefits across various segments of society.
Screening of Live Telecast of PM`s Speech is displayed at the venue in front of all the participants. The yoga session was expertly led by Shri S. Hussain, Founder of Health & Fitness Yoga Centre and Secretary of Khordha District Yoga Association.
To further enhance the experience, Indiatourism Bhubaneswar thoughtfully distributed Yoga T-shirts, Eco friendly Yoga Mats, and Refreshments to all attendees, ensuring their comfort and contributing to an invigorating session. The collaborative spirit and meticulous planning made the International Day of Yoga 2025 a memorable and successful event, reaffirming the Ministry of Tourism’s commitment to promoting health and wellness through yoga.
India Tourism,Port Blair (Ministry of Tourism, Government of India), in association with local tourism stakeholders, celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2025 at Swaraj Dweep in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. While the event was initially scheduled to take place on the iconic Radhanagar Beach, persistent rainfall necessitated a last-minute shift of the venue to the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa. Despite the weather constraints, the program was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation and strong local support.
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India organised the 11th International Day of Yoga celebration held at the TFC Hall next to Kangan Ghat Gurudwara, Patna Sahib, Bihar. Mr. Nityanand Rai, Minister of State (Home Affairs), Government of India was the Chief Guest. 200 students and tourism stakeholders participated in the event and listened to the encouraging words of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the benefits of imbibing Yoga into their daily life. The Yoga Instructor conducted the session as per the protocol prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush Government of India.
Visit Asia: Travel India has celebrated International Yoga Day in Hotel Taj Resort in Radha Puram Beach : The 7th Best Beach in the World and First Best Beach in Asia at Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Dr. Kaulesh Kumar, Secretary General of Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO) participated in this event.
Meanwhile the Maha All India Marwari Federation (MAIMF) had organized the International Yoga Day at MP Birla Auditorium in which Mr. Jhakka Prosad Acharya, Consul General of Nepal was the chief guest , Advocate Ashok Kumar Dhandania, President, High Court bar Association, Kolkata, Mr. Ratan Lal Agarwal, industrialist, Mr. Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Information and Culture, Kolkata, Advocate Kishan Killa, General Secretary etc were present.
