Celebrating Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage through the soul of the sitar, a new television commercial titled “The Sitarist” was launched.
Featuring world-renowned sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar, the film takes viewers on a soulful and musical journey through the state’s iconic heritage sites — Orchha, Mandu, and Maheshwar.
The presentation is not merely a visual experience, but an emotional connection that lets audiences feel the spirit of Madhya Pradesh through the evocative notes of the sitar.
Key Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs):
The Tourism Department of Madhya Pradesh and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) signed a landmark MoU to promote tourism and ensure the preservation of the state’s historical heritage.
The collaboration aims to enhance visitor experiences by developing world-class tourist facilities at ASI-protected monuments and to bring global recognition to Madhya Pradesh’s cultural legacy.
The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board also entered into a strategic partnership with Balaji Telefilms.
Under the agreement, the company will invest at least ₹50 crore over the next five years in the production of web series, films, short films, and documentaries in the state.
This initiative will establish Madhya Pradesh as a major destination for film and digital content creation, while also providing opportunities to local creative talent and strengthening the state’s production infrastructure.

Special Agreements:
To develop Hanuwantiya, Tamia, and Mandu as major tourism destinations, an agreement was signed with M/s Ease My Trip for the establishment of a Tent City.
The project will include a minimum of 50 luxury tents, along with land, air, and water-based adventure activities, under a five-year contract.
Similarly, Ms. Aagman India Travel has been selected to develop Orchha as a tourism destination through the establishment of another Tent City, featuring at least 50 tents and a range of adventure experiences across land, air, and water.
This agreement too will be valid for five years.

Launch of Regional Helicopter Service in Three Sectors:
To enhance air connectivity among the state’s major tourist, religious, and wildlife destinations, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched regional helicopter services across three sectors.
In Sector 1, air services between Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Gandhi Sagar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Hanuwantiya, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Barwani, Alirajpur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Nalkheda, Bhopal, and Jabalpur will be operated by M/s Trans Bharat Aviation Pvt. Ltd.
In Sector 2, connecting Bhopal, Madhai, Pachmarhi, Tamia, Chhindwara, Sanchi, Indore, Datia, Damoh, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Kuno (Sheopur), Orchha, Guna, Rajgarh, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Tikamgarh, and Jabalpur.
In Sector 3, connecting Jabalpur, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Chitrakoot, Sarsee, Parsuli, Maihar, Satna, Panna, Khajuraho, Katni, Rewa, Singrauli, Amarkantak, Seoni, Sidhi, Mandla, Pench, Dindori, Bhopal, and Indore, operations will be handled by M/s Jet Serve Aviation Pvt. Ltd.
Letters of Award for Two Major Projects:
Two major tourism projects were awarded to Indore Treasure Town Pvt. Ltd., involving a total investment of approximately ₹386 crore.
The first project will be developed near the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sanchi, in Ninod village (Raisen district), with an investment of ₹246 crore over 70.707 hectares.
It will include 217 luxury rooms and villas, five specialty restaurants, an 18-hole international golf course, golf villas, a state-of-the-art convention centre, and a wellness facility.
The second project will be set up at the picturesque Nazarpura Island on the Indira Sagar Reservoir in Khandwa district, with an investment of ₹140 crore across 17.57 hectares.
The project will feature 106 luxury rooms, two restaurants, water sports facilities, and a wellness centre offering spa, meditation, and yoga experiences.
Digital Promotion Partnership:
To boost its digital outreach and storytelling initiatives, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has partnered with Curly Tales, one of India’s leading travel, food, and lifestyle platforms founded by Ms. Kamiya Jani.
Through this collaboration, influencers will showcase Madhya Pradesh’s tourism destinations, cultural richness, and unique experiences to audiences across India and abroad, further strengthening the state’s image as a premium tourism destination.
