EVENT : RAJASTHANI BHASA SAHITYA SAMAROH WAS ORGANISED AT HINDUSTAN CLUB ON BEHALF OF ALL INDIA MARWARI CONFERENCE, SEVERAL LITTERATEURS HONOURED

KOLKATA, 2 MARCH 2025:

On behalf of All India Marwari Conference, Rajasthani Bhasha Sahitya Samman Samaroh was organized in Hindustan Club in which renowned litterateur of Sri Ganganagar Dr. Mangat Badal was awarded Sitaram Rungta Rajasthani Sahitya Puraskar and litterateur of Lunkarsar Ramjilal Ghodela was awarded Kedarnath Bhagirathi Devi Rajasthani Bal Sahitya Puraskar.

Commissioner of Rajasthan Foundation Jaipur Dr. Manisha Arora was the chief guest of the ceremony. She said that recently Rajasthan Government has announced a special program for investing in Rajasthan by migrant Rajasthanis. Giving details about it, she said that a new department to protect the interests of migrant Rajasthanis, Pravasi Rajasthani Samman, appointment of Additional District Administrator in each district as Nodal Officer for the issues of migrants are the main ones.

Apart from this, she also explained in detail about the investment promotion policy in the state. She expressed happiness that All India Marwari Conference is the largest organization of migrant Rajasthanis in the country and is playing an important role in uniting them. She assured all kinds of support for the migrant Rajasthanis.

First of all, in his presidential address, National President Shivkumar Lohia explained in detail the work being done by Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Sammelan for the promotion of Rajasthani language. He said that a book on grammar of Rajasthani language is being distributed free of cost by the Sammelan.

The Sammelan has also requested the Home Minister through a letter regarding recognition of Rajasthani language. He said that recognition is necessary but it is even more important that we use Rajasthani language in our homes with our children and among ourselves. He said that language is the carrier of culture, traditions and history. If the language disappears, then there is a danger of our culture of hundreds of years disappearing. He said that a dictionary of two lakh words of Rajasthani language has been published, which shows that this language is a rich language. It is also believed that this language has the largest collection of proverbs and idioms as compared to other languages ​​of the world.

Former National President Dr. Hari Prasad Kanodia congratulated the honored litterateurs and said that the conference always respects litterateurs and will continue to do so in future also. Famous social worker and industrialist Govind Sharda expressed satisfaction that the migrant Rajasthanis are connected to their soil. He appreciated the efforts being made by the All India Marwari Conference to save the culture and language of Rajasthan and wished them well.

Literaturer Dr. Mangat Badal said that I am overwhelmed by the respect and affection received from the All India Marwari Conference. This kind of honour is a matter of great pride for us. He recited his compositions in Rajasthani language which was appreciated by the audience.

Litterateur Ramjilal Ghodela expressed his gratitude for the honour he received. He said that the work that the migrant Marwaris of Kolkata are doing for the promotion and preservation of Rajasthani language is commendable. He said that we have to save the Rajasthani language and make every possible effort for its recognition.

Former National President Sitaram Sharma expressed satisfaction that the Rajasthan government is trying to establish a dialogue with the migrant Marwaris. He said that a big information center is necessary in Kolkata.

National Vice President Dinesh Jain gave the vote of thanks. The function was successfully conducted by National General Secretary Kailashpati Todi. On this occasion, Assistant Director of Rajasthan Information Center Kolkata Hinglaj Dan Ratnoo and Amit Kumar Singhal, Shrikumar Lakhotia of Rajasthan Foundation specially participated in the function.
