AGRA, 5 MARCH 2025:
Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra invites guests to celebrate Holi as it was once played in royal courts—with flowers, music, and timeless traditions. This year’s festivities, Noor-e-Rang, take inspiration from the vibrant Phoolon Ki Holi of Braj, where petals add colours, and celebration becomes an art form.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Taj Mahal, the hotel transforms into a sanctuary of indulgence and festivity, blending heritage grandeur with modern luxury. Across Infini – The Sky Lounge, Daawat-e-Nawab, Palato, and the grand poolside, guests are invited to revel in a celebration that echoes Agra’s royal past.
“Holi is more than just a festival; it is an emotion, a celebration of togetherness, vibrance, and heritage. Noor-e-Rang at Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra, is our way of reviving the magic of Phoolon Ki Holi, blending tradition with the finest luxury experiences. We invite our guests to rediscover the beauty of Holi in its most traditional form,” says Rajesh Chakraborty, Cluster General Manager – Operations & General Manager, Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra.
Inspired by the folklore of Lord Krishna and Radha’s first Holi in Braj, Noor-e-Rang recreates the joyous spirit of this festival, where petals rain down in a fragrant cascade, dhol beats set hearts racing, and poetry fills the air.
Guests are welcomed with a Thandai Ritual, featuring handcrafted blends of saffron, almonds, rose, and pistachios, reminiscent of royal feasts in Agra’s courts. A Maharaja’s Thandai Trolley moves through the hotel, ensuring guests can sip on festive indulgence at any moment. The lobby and entrance bloom with intricate floral rangolis, depicting scenes of Braj Holi, setting a grand and celebratory ambiance.
As the Taj Mahal glows under the setting sun, the celebrations begin at Infini – The Sky Lounge, where guests toast to Holi with festive cocktails, such as the Kesariya Negroni with saffron gin and Gulaabi Martini with rose & elderflower, while enjoying live Sufi-folk performances and an exclusive Floral Attar Bar offering signature fragrances inspired by Agra’s royal perfumery traditions.
At Daawat-e-Nawab, guests indulge in a royal celebratory feast, where the Live Gujiya & Chaat Bar presents artisanal variations of the beloved festive sweet, alongside a Holi menu curated by the hotel’s master chefs. A soulful ghazal performance pays homage to Mirza Ghalib’s poetic legacy in Agra, creating an atmosphere of nostalgia and refinement.
Phoolon Ki Holi: The Grand Celebration
The pinnacle of Noor-e-Rang is the Phoolon Ki Holi at the poolside, where guests revel in an eco-friendly Holi, played with a shower of fresh flower petals, vibrant dhol beats, and enchanting Radha-Krishna Leelas. A festive Holi brunch at Palato completes the experience, featuring live Bedai Kachori stations, Holi Handi Biryani, and indulgent Thandai Macarons, alongside fusion music, bringing joy and vibrance to the festival.
This unparalleled Holi experience at Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra, blends culture, cuisine, and celebration, offering guests a luxurious way to embrace the timeless traditions of Holi in the city of love.
