The low cost carrier , Go First, which has been facing its worst financial crisis has suspended sale of tickets of all flights till 15 of May. From 3 May, Go First has stopped sale of his tickets and all its flights are grounded at present.
Union minister of civil aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia has already termed the incident as very unfortunate and said that the government has been trying to help the airlines.
Today, Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has directed the Go First airlines to provide full refund to its passengers or make alternative arrangements.
Go First has also said that the airlines is trying to give full refund to its valued passengers as soon as possible and is working on the process of refund. Passengers and travel agents both have been facing problems due this sudden cancellation of flights.
The regulator of India’s aviation sector, DGCA has been keeping a tab on the situation and has already served a notice to Go First.
Go First has already applied for insolvency at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Fifty percent or 25 numbers of the aircrafts of Go First are grounded since 1 May.
