Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Taj branded hotel in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The hotel is a Brownfield project.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Development, IHCL said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s vision of expanding its presence in key commercial and leisure destinations in India. Dehradun with is its thriving tourism is also a major hub for education and software industries and is slated to grow in the coming years. We are delighted to announce our partnership with La Roche Hotels & Resorts for the development of this hotel.”
The 215 keys hotel is strategically located off Rajpur Road connecting Dehradun to Mussorie and is close to commercial areas within the city and tourist attractions around it. The array of facilities will include an all-day diner, a specialty restaurant, a bar and a lobby lounge. The hotel will be equipped with over 8,000 sq. ft. of banqueting space along with pre-function area and meeting rooms. The recreational facilities will include a spa, swimming pool and a fitness centre.

Dehradun, the capital of the state of Uttarakhand, is a picturesque city which is a gateway to Himalayan tourist destinations like Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, Uttarkashi, and Auli and also the pilgrim circuit of char-dham.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have ten hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands in Uttarakhand including five under development.
