MUMBAI, JULY 31, 2025
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Taj-branded hotel in Naina Tikker, Himachal Pradesh. This is a brownfield project.
Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Naina Tikker represents a unique opportunity for the Taj brand to mark its presence in a relatively unexplored part of Himachal Pradesh. With excellent connectivity and a location surrounded by a protected forest, it is poised to become a sought-after destination for leisure, MICE and social celebrations. This addition strengthens IHCL’s presence in the region enabling a travel circuit across Chandigarh, Chail, Theog, and Dehradun. We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Micro Turners Group.”
The 120-key Taj Naina Tikker, Himachal Pradesh will offer uninterrupted views of the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range. Guests can experience a rich culinary journey at the all-day dining restaurant, and the specialty restaurant, or unwind at the bar, and lobby lounge. The resort will house an expansive banquet hall of 4,000 sq.ft. along with meeting rooms and pre-function areas. Wellness and recreation amenities include a heated swimming pool, gym, health club, spa and an activity centre, making it ideal for both leisure and group travel.
Mr. Sachin Kapoor, and Ms. Sagarika Kapoor, Micro Turners Group, commented, “We are excited to partner with IHCL for another project and bring the iconic Taj brand to Naina Tikker. This collaboration will redefine luxury hospitality in the region and unlock the tourism potential of the state.”
Tucked away in the southernmost reaches of Himachal Pradesh, in the Sirmaur district, Naina Tikker is a tranquil hill station with pristine landscapes, rich biodiversity, and spiritual heritage. The area derives its name from the revered Mata Naina Tikker shrine while the Bhureshwar Mahadev Temple, another sacred site nestled amidst nature, adds to the spiritual aura of the region. Surrounded by open grasslands and dense pine forests, the region is also a haven for bird watchers.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 13 hotels in Himachal Pradesh, including 8 under development.
