In response to theĀ fast-growing travel trend where pets are treated as core family members, CheckIn has announced the launch of a new pet-friendly program allowing guests to stay with their pets at no extra cost across all SUNDAY Hotels globally. CheckIn is a curated collection of premium hotel brands under PRISM.

As part of this program, SUNDAY hotels have trained on-property teams to welcome pets as integral members of the guest party. The initiative includes pet welcome kits with water and food bowls; waste bags; and a toy ball at select hotels, clearly marked pet-friendly zones, and curated neighbourhood recommendations for local pet services such as walkers, groomers, and vets.
CheckIn is also building regional partnerships with pet care brands and animal welfare organisations to enhance the overall guest experience and promote pet-friendly travel. It is also planning activities such as pet meetups in hotel lobbies, co-branded treats with pet food brands, and adoption drives hosted across SUNDAY properties.

The company has been piloting pet-friendly offerings in select SUNDAY locations and reported higher repeat bookings and longer lengths of stay among guests travelling with pets.
Speaking on the launch, Varun Jain, Chief Operating Officer, PRISM Asia saidĀ “CheckIn’s new free pet stay program has leveraged learnings from other group companies, including G6 Hospitality in the USA which has a long-standing pet-friendly philosophy.Ā We have fine-tuned the program to anticipate challenges, set clear safety and cleanliness standards, and ensure seamless front desk operations. This cross-group sharing of best practices helped design a program that is globally consistent yet locally adaptable for each market where SUNDAY operates”.
The announcement aligns with strong growth in the pet care and pet travel segment. The Indian pet care market alone is valued at INR 7,577 crore in 2024 and is projected to exceed INR 22,000 crore by 2031, according to Blue Weave Consulting.

Pankaj Poddar, Group CEO, Cosmo First Limited, said,Ā “Pets today are an integral part of modern families, and travel preferences are evolving to reflect that. Our partnership brings together Zigly’s deep understanding of pet wellbeing and CheckIn’s commitment to designing meaningful, guest-first hospitality experiences. Together, we’re creating a new global standard for pet-friendly stays ā one that celebrates the bond between people and their pets while delivering comfort, care, and convenience at every step of the journey.”
The introduction of free pet-friendly stays marks another step in SUNDAY Hotels’ commitment to delivering thoughtful, inclusive, andĀ experience-ledĀ hospitality for travelers across the globe.
