The double-decker bus service running on Patna’s Ganga Path continues to remain a major attraction for people. Local residents of Patna as well as tourists coming from across the state and the country are enjoying this service thoroughly. Travelers are praising the experience of viewing the riverbank on one side and the beauty of the city on the other. This service is also contributing to increased revenue.
So far, 2,245 tourists have taken a ride on the double-decker bus operated by the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation on JP Ganga Path, generating a revenue of ₹2,14,900 for the department.

The double-decker bus has 40 seats—20 air-conditioned seats on the lower deck and 20 seats on the upper deck. It is equipped with a toilet, refrigerator, and a guide who provides information about sightseeing points along the route. The fare is just ₹50 per person for a one-way ride and ₹100 per person for a round trip. Currently, the bus operates from 5 PM to 10 PM.
The tour covers several historical sites including Digha to JP Ganga Path Golambar, Sabhyata Dwar, Darbhanga House, Gandhi Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi Setu, Gai Ghat, and Kangan Ghat. The department is making arrangements to start operations from 10 AM during winter. During the cold season, the service will run from 10 AM to 8 PM, allowing tourists to enjoy the warmth of the winter sun while exploring the Ganga Path.
It is worth mentioning that the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation launched the double-decker bus service in September. Since then, the service has been widely appreciated. The journey from Digha Ghat to Kangan Ghat, the 360-degree view from the upper deck, and the experience of witnessing historic city sites amidst natural scenery make this service truly special.
